Inviting Peace

Invite in peace and release stress right now.

Dear Friends,

An eight-minute check-in after a solo retreat. Ajahn Chah, a teacher in the Thai Forest Theravada tradition, said that a beautiful place might not be a good place for practice because you need to see your suffering. That is true, we need to look into our stress, and find the causes and conditions that contribute to it for release. If we do not look at the difficult parts of our lives, we cannot find the truth that liberates.

Fortunately, even in this beautiful setting, my practice kept inviting “me” into seeing as I practiced breath meditation this week, and moved with the feelings and energies in the mind and body. I learned little ways to feel into the breath with more clarity and awareness, because each breath is a new breath.

You too can offer your attention here and now. This moment is an invitation for being peaceful and content.
